BOB PAISLEY
“This club has been my life. I’d go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool FC if they asked me to.”
Club History
OLSC Gozo is an Official Liverpool Supporters Club. Founded in 1997 as Liverpool Supporters Club (LSC) Malta - Gozo Branch, we became part of the Official Liverpool Supporters Club (OLSC) network in 2006.
Several ex-Liverpool players have graced our club and have had the opportunity to admire all the mementos and memorabilia we have on display. Amongst the club ambassadors who have set foot inside our premises one can find Alan Kennedy, Bruce Grobbelaar, Craig Bellamy, David Fairclough, David Johnson, John Flanagan, Ian Callaghan, Jimmy Case, Terry McDermott, several Liverpool FC youth players as well as members from the coaching staff. Other club legends have honoured us with their presence when celebrating club milestones, notably, Phil Thompson and Sammy Lee who officially inaugurated our premises in 1999, Phil Neal who came over for our 10th anniversary celebrations, Ian Rush who accepted our invitation for the 15th anniversary and Patrick Berger and Vladimir Smicer who commemorated the club’s 20th anniversary with us.
Apart from welcoming club representatives, we can also boast of having embraced some of the cups won by our beloved team. In fact, four of the cups won by Liverpool FC since the turn of the century have made their way over to our little island. In 2001 Phil Thompson brought over the UEFA Cup, nowadays known as the UEFA Europa League Cup, the FA Cup and the League Cup. Five years later, Liverpool FC museum curator, Mr Stephen Done and his assistant, Mr Steve Newton brought over the UEFA Champions League Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
Our premises are located at 31, Labour Avenue, Xewkija. It’s really easy to find us since the sculpted ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ sign, Bill Shankly’s statue and the most wonderful replica of the Shankly Gates at the entrance to the club make it very hard to be missed.
Our club, which has also featured in the Liverpool Echo, Merseyside’s best-selling newspaper, is dedicated to Bob Paisley, the most successful manager in the history of British football.
How The Club was Born
What started off as a dream became a reality.
Charlie Farrugia, club owner, is no ordinary supporter; his level of fanaticism is incalculable. Having dedicated part of his house to become a meeting place for local Liverpool supporters, he has now transformed it into a mini museum. Amongst Charlie's personal collectables one can find a large variety of souvenirs that Liverpool FC have put on the market throughout the years. These relics, meticulously put on display in large glass cabinets, range from small items such as key chains, badges and pins, to the reproduction of all the cups won by Liverpool FC. The list is never-ending and always increasing.
Likewise, the club is equipped with the latest digital technology and state of the art facilities when it comes to broadcasting the team’s action live from Anfield or any other stadium across the UK or Europe. While offering a family friendly environment, where children are most welcome, we, committee members at OLSC Gozo, invite you to come and join us for a drink while we follow our idols. And, for your visit to be complete, make sure that you don’t leave without buying a souvenir from the large selection we have on display.

Official inauguration of Liverpool Supporters' Club Gozo
For some time the club was officially recognised as a branch in Gozo fo the Liverpool Supporters’ Club Malta. On 29th June 1999, two Liverpool legends, Mr Phil Thompson and Mr Sammy Lee officially inaugurated the premises. This was a historic and memorably day for us as it was the first time that club officials from Liverpool had set foot inside our club.

The Hillsborough disaster still remains in the memories of football supporters, and we demand justice for those who died at Hillsborough and those survivors who continue to suffer.
