Every year at our club we honor the supporters who died in this tragic disaster
Thursday 15th April 2004 marked the 15th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster at Sheffield in which 96 people were crushed to death during the 1989 FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. Commitee Members Larry Vella and Pierre Camilleri, were prividged to be present for the memorial which was held at Anfield.
Treasurer Larry Vella added : “We sat in the Kop that day, but boy, what a difference! Instead of the usual defeaning noise coming from the fans, it was the eeire silence that filled the air that got to me. So solemn, so calm and so sad”
