Liverpool Supporters Club Gozo hosted legendary goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar for the second time in our islands. This was part of our celebration for our beloved clubs’s title triumph. Our club organised a number of events to mark this much awaited milestone with celebrations kicking off with a gathering a the club following live screening of the match against Chelsea where Liverpool were presented with the Premier League Trophy.

On Friday 24th July 2020, Liverpool Supporters Club Gozo hosted legendary goal keeper Bruce Grobbelaar during an event which was followed by a BBQ. All Liverpool supporters were invited to this event where they had the chance to meet one of the Red’s heroes, took pictures with him, as well as having a piece of memorabilia signed by Bruce Grobbelaar. For Grobelaar, who has won practically every honour with Liverpool, this year Jurgen Klopp’s squad rose to the occasion, and this despite the Covid-19 pandemic. “When the organization started gearing up, Liverpool started finding the right players. We bought Allison. We bought Van Dijk and the players around them started playing better. That was the time when I knew that we were going to lift that trophy.”

Celebration concluded on Sunday 26th July 2020 with live screening of the last game of the season against Newcastle. Supporters of the Liverpool FC Gozitan club in Xewkija also had the opportunity for a photo with yet another cup in their collection – an identical replica of the English championship trophy.
